Sal Annunziato, Managing Principal
Under his leadership since joining NexGen as its Managing Principal in 2000, Sal Annunziato has positioned NexGen to provide end to end solutions under a vertical integration strategy, forging key industry alliances that are enabling NexGen to become the Connecticut standard in law enforcement technology.

Using his more than two decades of management experience in the computer hardware and networking markets, along with a unique instinct for the needs of the public sector, Annunziato brings both the vision and executive savvy required to direct the day-to-day activities of the company.

Prior to joining NexGen, he was co-founder and president of Databyte International of Branford, a leading provider of hardware and networking products and services. Under his direction, Databyte grew to more than $15 million in annual revenue, led by the creation of a Services Division, long before that became an industry standard, and the origination of targeted marketing campaigns to municipal and educational institutions nationwide. Annunziato is active in community affairs, serving as Chairman of the Board of the Wightwood School, of Branford, and participating on several public school committees in his hometown of Branford.

Lee Wezenski, Director of Development
As one of NexGen’s co-founders, Lee Wezenski combines his passion for police work with a strong history of creating robust enterprise applications, each of which was instrumental in his development of NexGen's Law Enforcement Administration System (LEAS).

Wezenski brings more than 18 years of technical expertise in software development to NexGen, combined with 16 years as a Supernumerary Officer in the Branford PD. This combination of high tech and police skills helps him design products and services grounded on the needs of public safety organizations, and the unique set of circumstances they confront in their day-to-day activities on the job.

His technology background also includes posts at Dun and Bradstreet Software, where he honed most of his client /server skills maintaining and developing accounting software for Fortune 500 companies.

A veteran of the US Air Force, Wezenski possessed a Top Secret security clearance while working aboard the Looking Glass and the E-4B (the President's plane). He holds a BS from Boston College and attended the University of Nebraska, where he studied math and computer science.

Tim Murray, Network Specialist
Tim Murray joined NexGen in early 2001, and manages the company’s suite of networked and wireless law enforcement applications, and the installation of its integrated software solutions. Murray brings to NexGen extensive experience in the networking environment from his former company, Greenwich Technology, where he supervised networked applications at the UCONN Health Center and the NASDQ Stock Exchange in New York City.

He started his computer industry career while attending a Magnet High School in New Haven. The City’s Board of Education wanted to offer computers to students, and Murray led the way to help acquire, install and network 40 PCs. He did such a good job that the Board asked him to provide that same expertise for other New Haven schools.

He is a graduate of Southern Connecticut University with an MIS concentration. Off the job, Murray is a Lieutenant in the Branford Volunteer Fire Department.

Teri Johnson, Director of Training
Teri Johnson joined NexGen in 1999 with the charter to create and manage a Training Department. Utilizing analytical and organizational skills, coupled with mentoring and management experience gained at her former job in the insurance field, Johnson was ideally equipped to build a training function from scratch.

Every Police Department or policing agency who buys the company’s Law Enforcement Administration System (LEAS) suite of solutions receives programmatic on-site training provided by Johnson. She also designed NexGen’s extensive Documentation program of user manuals, on-line support and help systems, and provides consulting services as needed.

Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCONN.
