Highlights
Version 10.27
  • Added Booking checkbox in Photo Capture window of the TOT module (sometimes known as the Booking module) to select which photo to display on booking sheet.
  • The LEAS Help File is now available from the menu bar in CAD. Click the Help menu and select Help Index.
  • In the Call Details tab, the cursor will now default to the beginning of the area code in the Work and Home Phone fields when the user is tabbing through the fields.
  • Added ability to see knoxbox information for any premise, based on that data having been entered in the Knoxbox Location field in the Geo Codes Premises tab. The picture on the Premise tab title changes based on the information available for that premise.
  • A field titled Supervisory Group has been added to the Case Management window which appears at LEAS logon. This will allow supervisors to select supervisory groups to work with other than their own.
  • To the Premises tab, added Knoxbox checkbox and Knoxbox Location field. Checking the checkbox enables the Location field for entry.
  • Accident Press Release (also called Accident Information Summary) is added to the Reports/Forms tab. When a press release narrative is entered in Mobile CAD (using the Press Release tab in Remarks), a Press Release row is created in the Reports/Forms tab, and the narrative text appears in the narrative window. The Press Release can also be created directly in Reports/Forms (Doc Type = Press Release), and regardless of where it’s created, a Case Management task row will be created for it.
  • More fields have been added to the CAD Remarks display, so that the information in CAD Remarks now mirrors the remarks screens found in CAD.
  • In accordance with a request from the State’s Attorney’s Office that identifying information of complainants, witnesses and victims not appear in the affidavits submitted to the court for a probable cause hearing, ability has been added to print the incident report in “PC Affidavit” format. This format will remove all data except the header information, the narrative, and the footer, and put the words PC Affidavit in their place. All of the People, Offense, Vehicle and Property data that normally appears in structured fields below the header will be removed.
  • Version 10.26
  • When an arrestee’s citizenship, in the Background tab, is entered as any country other than the U.S., a warning will appear on the person’s record to check with the consulate of that person’s home country.
  • The Premises tab will display photos of a property, if photos have been imported from your town’s GIS data. The photo will display automatically, and you can use the new Photo button and the existing Premise button to toggle back and forth between owner information and the photo.
  • Added JD-CR-146 Conditions of Release Family Violence form.
  • Added DPS-0311-C Radiation Incident Anomaly Report.
  • A search feature for text in document narratives has been added. In the new Freetext search tab, there are three types of searches. Documents found in the search are displayed and when opened, the search words are highlighted and underlined.
  • A new menu item was added to the reports window to allow the user to export the report data to an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Added the Warrant Description field to the Charges table. This field is used to enter the charge description that is approved by the CT court system, in situations where the description that appears in the Description field might not be. The entry in this field will appear on the arrest warrant face sheet (JD-CR-71) instead of the entry in the Description field. Each police agency is responsible for filling this field, if desired.
  • Version 10.25
  • At the top of the Arrest Profile Report, the date of birth has been added after the arrestee’s name.
  • On the Arrest Profile Report, the Age displayed will reflect the age at time of arrest rather than the person’s current age.
  • In the Arrest Record tab, if the Arresting Officer and Booking Officer fields have already been filled, then the CFS number is changed, the entries will remain as they are in the Officer fields, instead of changing to show the Primary Officer from CAD on the incident selected.
  • It is now possible to enter citation information in CAD, and the system will import it automatically to the Citations module. A new selection titled Ticket Issued has been added to the Involvement field on the Person Remark screen. When this item is selected, citation data fields appear and when those are filled and saved, the information goes to Citations.
  • Checkbox titled “Involved in Accident” added to the Vehicle Remark screen. Check this when the vehicle should appear on the PR-1.
  • To the Person Remark screen, added new button titled FL02 Name and changed the name of the previously titled “FL02” button to FL02 Reg. To use these buttons, first enter a person’s last and first name and DOB, then hit FL02 Name to get COLLECT data on the person, and hit FL02 Reg to get COLLECT data on the person’s vehicles.
  • On the COLLECT Detail tab, changed the method of paging through multiple results to arrow buttons (<< and >>) rather than a vertical scrollbar.
  • On the COLLECT Details tab, removed the Update checkbox. The page displayed will now have focus, and hitting the Update or Add button will put the information from that page into the Remarks.
  • A button titled Get Lat/Lng has been added to the Premise tab. Clicking this button will open a window enabling the user to place the premise on the map and get the latitude and longitude for that location.
  • Added field titled Registration Expires to the Vehicle Profile tab.
  • Version 10.24
  • Added agency address and telephone number (as entered in System Parameters/System Control) to the title area of the Case Incident Report.
  • Added to the CAD Remarks tab the Reporting Party name, address, work, and home phone numbers, from the Call Details tab of CAD.
  • Added ability to create a parked vehicle with occupants on a PR-1. This requires the addition of “Parked Vehicle,” with a Code of C, to the Accident Person Identifier table in System Codes. See the Help File for details on using this new code
  • The File>Print List function is changed so that it prints the contents of the Search Results, rather than only active warrant records, as it was doing previously.
  • The File menu has a new selection titled Warrant Service Report. This prints active warrant records from the Search Results list. (Any record where the Final Disp Code field is filled will not print, since filling this field indicates that the warrant is no longer active.)
  • Version 10.23
  • The seven-charge limit when sending charges from LEAS to AFIS/Cogent has been removed. All charges are now sent.
  • On the Booking Report, the statute number has been added under the Charge column, to the left of the charge text.

  • Added ability to display Fire and EMS unit status as other than ETQ (Enroute to Quarters or Returning) when clearing a call. A new hard-coded item, “Quarters”, has been added to the Default Unit Activity table of the Units tab in Geo Codes. See the System Manager Guide for details.
  • In the Unit Clear window, the Stop Dispositions field will show a dropdown list of choices based on the new table in System Codes titled Traffic Stop – Stop Dispositions
  • For clients who use Dual Dispatch (if Split Dispatch by Agency is checked in the CAD Defaults tab of System Parameters), new columns added to the Pending Calls window titled P, F, E and O, for Police, Fire, EMS and Other. These columns will be highlighted to indicate which agencies have been sent to an active call.
  • The Family Violence form (DPS-230-C) has been updated to the 05/06 version.
  • Added fields for color coding to the Call Response tab, as explained under CAD above.
  • Added a new hard-coded item, “Quarters,” to the Default Unit Activity table of the Units tab, as explained under CAD above.
  • Added option to allow officers writing reports to assign them for review to a supervisory group instead of to a specific supervisor. New checkbox “Use Supervisory Group” added to the System Defaults tab of System Parameters. When this box is checked, the Reports/Forms tab of the Incident Reporting module will show a “Supervisory Group” field instead of a “Supervisor” field.
  • Added a “save to database” feature on signed-off reports. Once a report is signed off, then printed*, a snapshot of the print preview is saved to the database and none of the information on it will change unless the report is unsigned off and changed. This save-to-thedatabase feature applies to all documents created in the Reports/Forms tab (initial reports, supplements, state forms, etc.).
  • Added Injury Description field to the Accident/People Involved tab. This field is for information only and the data does not display anywhere other than on this tab.
  • The Incident tab now shows all incidents the business has been involved in, as recorded in the Incident Reporting module, instead of only incidents where an offense was recorded.
  • Added ability for extra shifts to be credited as Comp time. In order to use this feature, the new Add Comp Time box in the System Defaults tab of System Parameters must be checked.
  • New table added to User Table/Department Codes called Traffic Stop – Stop Dispositions.
  • Two new fields added to the System Defaults tab. The Add Comp Time checkbox, when checked, allows you to record officer overtime and extra shifts as Comp time. This box works in combination with the Comp Time Calculation field, which is used to enter the multiple of Comp time that an employee earns based on the number of hours he works overtime.
  • Version 10.22
  • Depending upon the type of maps used by the town, the system might check the Premises table in Geo Codes before the Spans table when a street address is entered in the Premises field in CAD.

  • Due to NIBRS reporting requirements, when a police officer is reported as an involved party in an incident, the Type Involved must be “Police Officer.” This means that in the People tab, Master Name sub-tab, the Type field must say Police Officer.
  • Version 10.19

  • New fields added to Person Remarks. When “Accident” is selected in Involvement field, the accident data fields are enabled, for import to the PR-1.
  • New fields added to Vehicle remarks. Entry in Vehicle No. field puts that vehicle on the PR-1.
  • Business button added, and data fields to enter a business (on in-house CAD only, to follow in Mobile CAD). If Involvement field is filled as “Accident” and Owner box is checked, this business will be shown as owner of the corresponding vehicle on the PR-1.
  • Reports are now saved to the database instead of to a Word document. This includes any document that uses the word processor within LEAS.
  • Version field added to the report narrative window. Each save of the narrative increments the number by one. Selecting the version number from the dropdown list displays the text associated with that version number. The last version saved is the one that will print.
  • The Case Status box on the PR-1 will display the entry from the Disposition field on the Incident tab. In past, the box filled from the underlying “Code” associated with the description in the System Codes table. Now the box fills from the “Description” in the table.
